A key piece to West Virginia’s defense last year is joining the defending Super Bowl champions.

After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, former Mountaineer defensive back Hakeem Bailey is joining the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent.

Bailey logged 57 tackles for the Mountaineers at the cornerback position as a senior while adding a key, game-sealing interception in WVU’s upset of Kansas State this past season.

He is the fifth former WVU player to be given an opportunity in the NFL.
