Listen to Neal Brown’s weekly Big 12 teleconference

WVU Football

Neal Brown got the start he wanted as the head coach of WVU football when the Mountaineers defeated James Madison in their home opener.

Can he orchestrate another victory in week two?

Brown chatted with reporters Monday morning during his weekly Big 12 teleconference, as West Virginia turns its attention to its next opponent, Missouri.

While the Mountaineers were victorious in their opener, the Tigers fell in one of the more surprising results of the opening weekend of play, losing 37-31 to Wyoming on the road. The Tigers lost despite racking up more than 500 yards of total offense.

“I think we’ll see a much different team in Columbia on Saturday,” Brown said.

Brown also noted that injured running back Leddie Brown, who didn’t play in the game against the Dukes, is improving, but is questionable this week.

The Tigers will host the Mountaineers Saturday at noon ET on ESPN2.
