MORGANTOWN - A first-team All-Big 12 defensive back could be leaving WVU football.
A WVU source has confirmed to West Virginia Illustrated that junior safety Kenny Robinson has entered the NCAA transfer portal as of Tuesday morning.
Robinson appeared in all 25 possible games in his two seasons as a Mountaineer, and started every contest last season as a sophomore. He led West Virginia last season in total takeaways with five and interceptions with four, which also tied him for second in the Big 12.
Robinson intercepted seven passes in two seasons at WVU. No active Mountaineer has more.
The native of Wilkinsburg, Pa., still has two years of eligibility remaining. By entering the NCAA transfer portal, he can discuss his future with other programs, while still retaining the option to return to WVU.
